- The paper underpins an ambitious research project EU MSCA RISE “TESTBED2” (2020-2024, €1M, Grant no. 872172, author H Sun is the Project Coordinator) to develop data-driven optimisation tools working with 16 academic/industrial partners in the EU, US and China. It also underpins the “Ubiquitous Storage Empowering Response (USER)” project funded by The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to trial decentralised demand response methods for helping 350 homes manage their hot water cylinders by providing ancillary services (the project lead is Levelised ltd, Dr Ivan Castro, ivan.castro@levelise.com).
