- This is the first paper to capture the use and non-use of wearables in the gym and has been identified as the first paper to take a truly contextual approach to personal informatics (Ayobi et al CHI EA 2016). It has been cited regularly in premier HCI venues such as CHI and CSCW, and widely in other disciplines, such as fitness (Toner, Performance Enhancement & Health, 2018), behaviour change (Deranek, Behaviour & Information Technology, 2020) and digital health (Kanstrup, Digital Health, 2018). This was a collaboration with the Samsung R&D Institute UX team.
