- Double-weighted statement
- This is an output of extended scale and scope. The norm in business and management is for refereed journal articles of 8000-10,000 words. This output stretches to 300 pages, reflecting a substantial volume of original research. It examined several hundred original documents and databases, including archival research. The researcher accessed all the open-source archives available to date, from international sources for satellites and orbital launches, to national space agencies for the single countries' missions and budget allocation. Given the complex, comprehensive and interdisciplinary nature of the subject matter, journal articles were considered unsuitable as a medium for dissemination.
