- Double-weighted statement
- This research has been carried out over six years, and includes the analysis of 797 newspaper articles and television reports, and 64 interviews with journalists, activists, and government officials. Research for this book required fieldwork in Brazil, the United States and the United Kingdom, and is equivalent to at least five journal articles. Data and some ideas from Chapter 6 have been used in a different journal article published and submitted during this REF period, but the remaining chapters present original data and ideas that advance the field, as recognised in a review in the LSE Review of Books.
