- This paper presents a Distributed Intrusion Detection System (DIDS) for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition(SCADA). Its architecture was designed to address the specific characteristics and requirements for SCADA cyber security. System evaluation and validation were undertaken within a specially designed hybrid testbed emulating the SCADA system for an electrical distribution grid. The article describes the core mechanism that was produced under the CockpitCI FP7 project with a 3M euros budget that finished with excellent grade in 2016 and led to a successive H2020 project “ATENA” with budget of 8M euros.
