- This monograph is the result of a more than five year research project combining original work in political theory with empirical investigation of different aspects of Russian domestic and foreign policy. The book is based on extensive collation and analysis of a wide range of Russian-language primary source material and engagement with current scholarship from different disciplines, including political science, law, international relations and philosophy, to produce an original and in-depth investigation of contemporary Russian authoritarianism.
