- The book is the first monograph on the topic which sought to survey both scholarship and practice over the last 30 years. It also developed a new conceptual and theoretical framework for restorative policing more broadly seeking to connect it to both community-oriented and problem-oriented policing and social capital. As such, this has been a significant and pathbreaking book in the field of restorative justice and restorative practice that is interdisciplinary in its focus.
