- The research was funded by Italian Department of Civil Protection (project DPC-ReLUIS 2014) and Italian Association of Precast Industries. The study has a direct impact on the design by demonstrating that current approaches in Eurocodes are inadequate. Such study led to a collaboration with UCL and the output was used as a case-study in the discussion on buildings in East European countries with Mott MacDonald. The author was invited to present the results at the Understanding Risk Balkans Conference‚ organized by the World Bank (Belgrade, 2019) aimed to reduce the risks in developing countries.
