- As a result of 3 years collaboration between NTU, UoN, and USC in US (Prof Jerry Mendel, a well-known fuzzy logic pioneer and author), this paper introduces a novel merging between the two domains of fuzzy arithmeticians and fuzzy system engineering communities, so that a defuzzification method already known by arithmeticians is reformulated for fuzzy system design. Since it has shown a significant outperformance over classical defuzzifiers in chaotic time series prediction, a recently submitted EPSRC proposal (1316518) suggests its utilisation in pandemic modelling alongside other AI techniques. Moreover, ongoing collaborations with Prof Mendel is started for type-2 fuzzy extension.
