- The law on contract interpretation has changed markedly over the last 13 years, requiring re-writing of all chapters of this new edition, over a 4 year period. The book includes extensive new research into both case law (around 100 new decisions on contract interpretation, from first instance courts to the Supreme Court, in UK and elsewhere), and academic scholarship from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Singapore. It was also necessary to carefully evaluate materials on interpretation theory from within different disciplines, and analyse the arguments of various legal movements (e.g., relational contract; formalism; economic analysis of contract amongst others).
