- I focussed on the leptonic tau decay channel, in particular in the optimization and efficiency calculation for the lepton triggers, the optimisation of the selection and in the simulation of the dominant Z+jets background. For the latter, I compared the performance of various generators and derived a data-driven correction to the simulation as a function of the Z transverse momentum. I compared the performance of different types of vetoes of central jet activity for the Vector-Boson-Fusion production channel. I also improved the performance through a multi-variate selection, based on Boosted Decision Trees.
