- Double-weighted statement
- This book investigates racial and housing segregation, with reference to two empirical cases (housing segregation of Roma and of Algerian migrants) in two different geographical contexts (Italy and France) and historical periods (the present and post-war period). The book is based on data from 85 interviews and conversations undertaken between 2013 and 2017 and an extensive content analysis of official documents. The process of identifying and gaining access to participants for the historical dimension (e.g. informants/participants with direct experience of the past French segregation policy of Algerian migrants) was complex and time-consuming and necessitated an extended fieldwork period.
