- Wittgenstein on Logic as the Method of Philosophy: Re-examining the Roots and Development of Analytic Philosophy (297 pages) is an extended and complex piece of research into Wittgenstein’s early and late philosophies of logic and the methodological significance accorded to logic by Wittgenstein and several analytic philosophers. The argument relies on extensive research of complex original material (including Wittgenstein’s Nachlass and Russell’s collected works) undertaken over seven years and involves exegetical reconstruction, historical contextualisation, and philosophical assessment of competing perspectives on the role of logic in analytic philosophy. Two thirds of the volume’s material have not been previously published.
