The outcomes of the paper were a milestone in developing a currently internationally patented product (EP2673445B1; US9410365B2; CN103443382B; WO2012107350A1). The paper has developed and tested novel control strategies for automated daylighting and solar shading systems with significant impact on the design and energy performance of such systems.
