- Additional information
- Work informs blast resilient design used by industry (Office of Naval Research, ONR, Program Manager, name/email withheld). Techniques adopted by academia (e.g. Prof. Shukla, shuklaa@egr.uri.edu) as well as US Navy constructors (e.g. Northrop Grumman & GD Electric Boat) verified by ONR. Funding income resulted: 1. ONR (£300,000), 2. Beijing International Aeronautical Materials Corp., BIAM, £2,500,000, (name/email withheld) 3. Established a national network for blast R&D in Wales (with Industry e.g. Radnor Range Ltd., Director, name/email withheld). Delivered plenaries at the International Workshop on the Explosive Blast Response of Naval Composite Materials and Structures at RMIT University (2016).
