- This is based on a 3-year ESRC-funded research project. It is the largest study of its kind and provides original research data and analysis on the impact of technology on the sex industry and implications for its regulation. This was a genuinely collaborative work at all stages between researchers and those involved in on-line sex markets, including sex workers and their clients, platforms and regulators. Analysis was dependent on completing a vast set of data collection and extensive mapping of online spaces. We analysed this original data against literature from multiple disciplines to offer critical insights on an emerging issue.
