- This 70,000+ word output addresses the domain, purpose and functioning of contemporary research in mathematics education. It presents an original Lacanian psychoanalytic theory that sees collective mathematical learning as an intrinsic dimension of how mathematics develops as a field in support of human activity. Rethinking subjectivity/objectivity through Badiou, it has major significance in continuing a dialogue with existing publications (Roth, Radford, Williams, Pais) seen widely as a cutting edge. The book comprises 47,000 words of original material produced 2014-2020, incorporating a 2016 Educational Studies in Mathematics paper. It includes 26,000 words published in articles in 2013.
