- This monograph Christ Existing as Community is the culmination of several years of sustained research and represents the first large-scale study of its kind into Bonhoeffer’s earliest academic theology in more than three decades. It exploits the recent publication of the critical of edition of Bonhoeffer’s Werke and proposes notable revisions to earlier, influential scholarship. The scope and detail of the research and output are significantly greater than that involved in the production of two typical research articles.
