- I worked closely with my co-editor, Annette Volfing (Oxford) in shaping and editing the collection Punishment and Penitential Practices. We selected the authors and worked with each on drafts of their contributions, ensuring the essays spoke to one another and were arranged appropriately in the volume. I am the sole author of the full-length introduction, which has the same status as the other contributions; it not only sets out the aims and direction of the scope and direction of the volume as a whole, as well as its contribution to the field, but also offers its own contribution through framework and synthesis. I also worked closely with the series editor in making further revisions to the collection and helped the contributors in responding to comments from anonymous peer review.
