- Nuttall performed the LIGO detector validation procedures for the event presented in this paper. This entails conducting a number of investigations to see whether an instrumental origin can explain the presence of the signal, as well as investigations into the data quality around the event time. Poor data quality has the potential to bias our estimation of key signal parameters, and therefore the key scientific conclusions of the paper. She was a member of the 8-person editorial team, and drafted the text of the event validation work and detectors in the paper (in section 2).
