- This work combines social networks and cloud systems to create a distributed data storage/processing environment of user-owned resources, with trust maintained through links in social networks. The proposed approach includes a marketplace model for incentivising participation, validated through simulation and implementation on a UK-US testbed (Cardiff and Rutgers) integrated with the FutureGrid platform at Indiana (a US testbed of distributed high-performance clusters across seven US Universities).
