- This work, funded by JLR (Stephen Pickering, spickeri@jaguarlandrover.com) was an early successful implementation of a high performance DC to DC converter using wide band-gap devices and led to invitations for industry tutorials at the PEMD conferences in Manchester (2014) and Glasgow (2016), PCIM (2019) and ESCRM meeting (2018). In addition, several projects were awarded related to this work including High Value Manufacturing Catapult support (£279,000) for working with Zapinamo (an SME, contact Tim Martin, tim.martin@zapinamo.com) and Arriba Technologies (an SME, contact Steve Connolly, Steve.Connolly@arribatechnologies.com), the former also contributing £75,000 in direct funding, as well as invitations into two APC projects.
