- Double-weighted statement
- This monograph was based on five years’ research. It brings socio-legal analysis together with primary empirical research into the experience of older LGBNL adults to present a new analysis of the manner in which their history, background, and the legal and social contexts in which they are situated combine to produce inequalities in later life. It won the Hart-SLSA early career book prize. It merits double-weighting because of the wide range of literatures it integrates, the extensive empirical research across three continents it involved, and the sustained research effort that went into constructing the model and theoretical approach it develops.
