- Wollstonecraft’s Ghost constitutes an incremental and cumulative advance on thinking about the place of Mary Wollstonecraft in Romantic period women’s writing, processing and presenting afresh existing research on the influence of her life and writing. The monograph has the potential to be a recognised point of influence of some influence, especially in its initial tracing of the development of the female philosopher figure through the eighteenth century and into the 1790s and beyond.
