- This book brings together a complex piece of research on 'Urban Transitions and Climate Change' which was carried out between 2008-2014. The book focuses on the heterogeneity and ambiguity of climate experimentation in Bangalore (India), Monterrey (Mexico), Philadelphia (USA), Cape Town (South Africa), Berlin (Germany), São Paulo (Brazil), Hong Kong and London (UK). The case studies were selected from a database of 625 cases, purposely collected for this study. Building on the database insights and initial fieldwork, a framework for comparative analysis was developed. The data collection phase included 200 qualitative interviews with key actors, extended field visits and placements.
