- This paper has influenced not only new access network selection approaches, but also new gateway selection and interface selection approaches. It has inspired the design of a novel Vertical Handover (VHO) management scheme for 5G Vehicular Cloud Computing (5G-VCC) system by Prof Dimitrios Vergadosa in University of Piraeus, Greece, and a few new gateway selection approaches by Prof Roc Meseguer in Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain and Prof Ramin Sadre in Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium. It has motivated an autonomous interface selection for Multi-Radio D2D Communication by Prof Young June Choi in Ajou University, South Korea.
