- This paper presents a novel frequency-based feature description method, which is able to deal with the difficult problem of change in illumination between successive scene images in a collected data stream. This technique provided an excellent degree of invariance to this illumination change, which is an advancement relative to prior eminent research in the literature on computer vision, having important applications related to autonomous systems. This work attracted a lot of interest from prestigious organisations, European Space Agency (ESA) and MBDA to name few, who wanted to see this work extended to solve multispectral navigation research problem.
