- Multi-modal face biometrics is a necessity to meet real world performance metrics. For big data applications, facial recognition is a major challenge. The variety in these databases and the volume of face samples demand powerful discriminative features. This work addresses the problem by mapping combination of subsets of a rich set of features to varied databases and face recognition models selected through objective functions. It provides a mathematical framework that models the fusion of experts’ decision-making under uncertainty in a multi-modal face biometric system. It shows a step improvement in performance in a rigorous test.
