- This paper presents the novel combination of Compressive Sensing and Template Matching in the field of visual object tracking. The work extends upon popular Compressive Sensing approaches to object tracking by incorporating a temporal weighted multi-frame template matching stage which takes into account changes in the target over time while preserving a quantity of the original appearance for drift reduction. This work was instrumental in leading to KTP Project 9801 with GCU and Geckotech Solutions Ltd which won ‘Best KTP’ and was shortlisted for ‘Engineering Excellence’ at the Knowledge Transfer Partnership 2019 Best of the Best Awards.
