- Bracken co-authored the introduction and conclusion that bookend this edited volume as well as co-authoring one of the chapters exploring synergies between universal design for learning and the core principles of the European Higher Education Area. The book brings together a wide range of specialists, academic and professional, from across the globe and from different educational settings to explore the theory of UDL and the design, delivery and evaluation of inclusive approaches across these settings. As such, it provides a coherent articulation of how a UDL approach can create inclusive, socially just and culturally responsive HE curricula underpinned by robust primary research and theory. Bracken played a key role in drawing together the contributors to reflect a wide range of perspectives, in providing feedback on individual chapters to ensure the book as a whole provides a coherent narrative and in synthesising the volumes key overall contributions in its conclusion.
