- Double-weighted statement
- The culmination of many years of research, this volume presents a new text edition of the 1QpHab scroll and replaces the editio princeps (1950) that was faulty in several respects. It provides a new transcription, reconstruction, translation, philological notes, textual commentary, and historical discussion, prefaced by a substantial introduction. The completion of the work involved study in Jerusalem as the Gitin Distinguished Professor at the W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research, American Schools of Oriental Research, where the scroll was first brought to the attention of the world in 1948.
