- The paper proposes a novel method to dynamically adapt control mechanisms in a distributed system to deal with an unpredictable and changing environment. It is the culmination of a body of work that was published in three conferences (not submitted to REF). One of the conference papers (https://doi.org/10.1109/SASO.2014.16) was awarded the best-paper award at IEEE Self-Organising and Adaptive Systems 2014. An article discussing the relevance of the work in distaster management published in the Conversation has had over 2600 reads (https://bit.ly/3m4i6zN)
