- Double-weighted statement
- This 200-page monograph represents 6 years of sustained research in order to establish the concept of Rural Modernity as a new category of thought and analysis in humanities disciplines. It contains four thematic chapters; the scope and the word count of each chapter is equivalent to between 1 and 3 journal articles. The research involved the analysis of a wide range of cultural artefacts and unpublished archive materials, articulating the complexities of lived experience in rural places over a period of almost 100 years (1919 - 2011).
