- The paper reports the first experimental demonstration of the generation of a flat broadband chaotic power spectrum using a new approach that paves the way for a low-cost wide-band chaotic source. The work resulted in a funded collaboration project with Prof Anbang Wang (wanganbang@tyut.edu.cn) from Taiyuan University of Technology (201603D421008, PI: YH, RMB10,000) and has influenced the work of international groups focused on applications (Secure comms Qui et al, University of Electronic Science and Technology, Chengdu) and on the development of the technique in other laser systems (eg. Xu et al, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing).
