- This paper formed the basis or inspired attempts to use different materials to develop layered products with superior mechanical properties compared to traditionally machined products. Russian researchers manufactured aluminium and brass layered samples demonstrating the effectiveness of the technique in their 2018 paper titled 'Direct production of metal parts using LOM-technology'.
