- A lack of regional load profile data reporting by Indian electricity utilities in the public domain was a bottleneck faced by the EPSRC India-UK STAPP project (EP/H040331/1). The novel synthetic benchmark profile generation method presented in this paper was developed as a means of mitigation. Similar challenges are faced by researchers investigating aspects linked to electrical energy provision in the global south. This study supports researchers and others with a tool that allows them to conduct technical or economic analyses linked to load profiles.
