- This work presents a ground terminal equipping a novel retrodirective array (RDA), which can track fast-moving space satellites automatically in fading environment. This had been deemed impossible before as previous RDA can only operate with the presence of pilot signals that can be absent due to fading. The system described in this paper has been identified as a solution for terrestrial millimetre-wave backhaul links, a core work package of the funded £185k Knowledge Transfer Partnership (No. 12042) with CommScope Technologies UK.
