- Double-weighted statement
- This book breaks new ground in the study of ancient Platonism, and draws on methodologies and practices from manuscript studies, classical reception, ancient philosophy, literary criticism, intellectual history and linguistics. As the editio princeps of an ancient Latin work, it required extensive effort in transcription and emendation, in addition to the work of commentary. The research was carried out for more than five years and required research travel to view the manuscripts. The request for double-weighting is based on the range of argument and research the book required.
