- This work provides novel methods detecting used and unused channels of the mobile broadband spectrum so that they can be efficiently shared among service providers, resulting in optimal use of the spectrum. This will help reducing the cost of mobile broadband employing spectrum sharing methods. This work has been adopted by other researchers, e.g., Toma et al., IEEE Transactions on Communications, 68(4), 2020; Zhao et al., Sensors Journal, 19(22), 2019, to design novel algorithms to estimate spectrum used by mobile users. This new concept will also be proposed to towards 6G telecommunication standard through a WWRF work group.
