- COVID-19 affected output statement
- This piece was originally accepted for publication by journal editors on 04/12/19 and with the article intended for publication by the end of the 2020 calendar year. The publication schedule of the journal ‘Theory & Event’ (published by Johns Hopkins University Press and distributed by Project MUSE) was disrupted by the complexities which arose from the COVID-19 pandemic. As the journal does not operate an ‘online first/early view’ model of publication the Covid-related delays to the production process have now resulted in the formal publication date for the piece being pushed into early 2021.
