- Double-weighted statement
- This output is proposed for double-weighting submission because: a) it constitutes an extended study, its six chapters (271 pages including the index) offer a new reading of Fanon engaging with his work from a francophone and postcolonial perspective; b) its scope required a prolonged period of research and writing; c) it represents the first book-length investigation of Fanon?s work, challenging many of the reconstructions of Fanon in critical and postcolonial theory and in cultural studies and probing a host of crucial issues: the intersectionality of gender and colonial politics; the biopolitics of colonialism; Marxism and decolonization; tradition, translation and humanism.
