- This co-authored monograph (359 pages) is based on over a decade of work in the materials of Stalin’s personal archive, 440,000 files first released in 2000. It emerged out of a BA grant awarded in 2003. The work fundamentally reassesses how Stalin understood the world and sought to shape it. The book was a fully collaborative project. Harris was responsible for 50% of the work.
