- This book (262 pp) is a systematised, international examination of criminal justice corruption. It rigorously analyses the political and social context and interconnected relationships of corruption within and between criminal justice systems. A substantial range of sources were collected and analysed, including empirical data on the police, probation, judiciary and threats to criminal justice legitimacy. The book advances rigorous critical insights into the abuse of state power, the impact of technology on the jury, privatization of the prison sector, and corruption of cultures, customs, and practice in criminal justice in North and South America, EU, Australia Africa, and SE Asia.
