- This work has led to a £10k EPSRC overseas travel grant award (EP/P020836/1) to visit the University of Toronto, Canada (Prof Heather McLean) and the Athena Sustainable Materials Institute (Ottawa), Canada, working on research underpinning the assessment of impact of emerging technologies on the local and global environment. This resulted in the corresponding author advising DEFRA and BEIS on policy on the use and production of green gas, and the DfT on sustainable fuels and transport and the impact of increased penetration of electric vehicles with the National Grid.
