- An outcome of EPSRC project 'Sand transport under irregular and breaking wave conditions' involving large-scale laboratory experiments. Collaborative project between Aberdeen and the University of Twente’s Water Engineering Group, with input from collaborating institutes in France (LEGI Grenoble) and Spain (UPC Barcelona). The dataset has been used within the project for validation of a new turbulence modelling approach (University of Liverpool) and has been requested for model validation by researchers from several international institutes (KU Leuven; UNESCO-IHE The Netherlands; DTU Denmark; TU Braunschweig - Germany). Work has led to a follow-up Transnational Access project within the EU funded Hydralab+ project.
