- The work is an original sustained empirical analysis of European cross border banking and crisis management reforms post the Global Financial Crisis. The work comprises of nine original data sets drawn from several international data warehouses including the Bank for International Settlement, European Central Bank, World Bank Group and Orbis Bank Focus. The data at the country level and individual bank level is analysed and used to evaluate the legal reforms associated with the home-host relationship. The work shows the remaining obstacles and regulatory gaps at the European level that undermine efforts to manage a cross border banking crisis.
