- Featured in Physics Today (Singh 2019) and best paper at JCDL 2019, this paper introduced a novel method for measuring "deposit time lag" using data from CORE.ac.uk, delivered by OU researchers, 40 million monthly active users, in top 1,500 websites globally (Alexa, 2021) and top 17 in Science and Education (SimilarWeb 2021), and provided strong evidence for the inclusion of strictly time-limited deposit requirements in OA policies. As a result, Research England entered into collaboration with the OU, revised its OA policy and announced the use of CORE.ac.uk to audit REF2021 (REF Audit Guidance 2019).
