- Anders Hansen was solely responsible for conceiving the framework, structure and contents of the original proposal for the Routledge Handbook of Environment and Communication (454 pages). Along with his co-editor Robert Cox, Hansen was responsible for inviting, managing and overseeing 60% of the book’s 33 chapters. Hansen drafted 95% the introductory chapter, (c. 6000 words), and wrote three single-authored chapters: Chapter 2: Communication, media and the social construction of the environment (c. 8000 words); Chapter 17: News coverage of the environment: a longitudinal perspective (c. 7000 words); and Chapter 23: Nature, environment and commercial advertising (c. 7000 words).
