- Outcome of a collaboration of Centre for Applied Dynamic Research (CADR) at Aberdeen and Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, partially funded by Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento do Pessoal de Nivel Superior (CAPES), grant number 88881.189487/2018-01. The study has been conducted in the newly developed mass excited experimental rig, which is highly controllable and instrumented, to study different forms of impacts for many applications such as energy harvesting systems. To account for the noise a new technique for data processing of periodic responses has been developed and presented in this paper.
