- This 304-page book is a major output of the AHRC-funded, collaborative Medieval Francophone Literary Culture Abroad project (2011-15), growing out of the project database of manuscripts at www.medievalfrancophone.ac.uk. The book analyses canonical and lesser-known works in several, mostly under-studied manuscripts from outside France, emphasising the international circulation of francophone literary culture to propose a new model of ?French? literary history. Applies innovative theoretical approaches such as the sustained use of Actor-Network Theory, and develops new methods for textual interpretation that combines literary interpretation with insights drawn from linguistics, book history, art history, among others.
